About Vootkit

A set of video and PDF tools that run in your browser. Your files don't get uploaded — that's the whole idea.

Most "online" tools work like this: you hand over your file, it goes to a server you'll never see, something happens, and you download a result. You're trusting a stranger with your footage and your documents. Vootkit doesn't work that way. Every tool here runs on your own device using standard browser tech, so the file never leaves your machine. There's no upload bar because there's nothing to upload, and no sign-up because there's nothing to track.

Why it's built this way

On-device processing isn't a privacy slogan — it's structural. We can't see your files because they never reach us. That also means no upload waits, no queue, and no size cap imposed by a server. The trade-off is honest: very large files lean on your device's memory, so a phone has limits a desktop doesn't. We tell you that up front instead of pretending otherwise.

What you can do here

Compress and trim video, convert and resize clips, pull audio out as MP3, transcribe speech to captions, compress and convert images, strip GPS and EXIF data from photos, and turn images into PDFs — with more video and PDF utilities being added. Free, no watermark.

What Vootkit is not

It only works on files you provide and have the right to use. It is not a downloader for YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, or any other platform, and it isn't affiliated with any of them. Respect copyright and each platform's terms.
