Why remove photo metadata?
Most phones embed the precise GPS coordinates where a photo was taken directly into the image file. If you post that photo online or send it to a stranger — say, a buyer on a marketplace — they can read exactly where you were, often your home. Stripping metadata removes that location, the camera details, and timestamps, while keeping the image itself untouched.
Is it private?
Yes. Vootkit reads and cleans your photo entirely inside your browser. The file is never uploaded to any server, so no one — including us — ever sees it.
